Parliament Speaker Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani and Shura Council Speaker Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr discussed with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, holding the consultations called for by the GCC's General Secretariat between the various Yemeni components to reach a comprehensive peaceful solution, end the Houthi coup against state institutions, and restore the state and government's power.
The two speakers affirmed the support of the leadership of the government, the House of Representatives, the Shura Council, and the government to the consultations aimed at setting a road map and a clear vision to end the current crisis and restore the state.
The Speakers of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council affirmed that peace is a government demand in accordance with the three references, noting the Houthi militia's nature as proxy for Iran, which does not want the stability of Yemen and its neighboring countries.
