The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

The Yemeni Authority for Standardization and Quality Control participated in the 57th meeting of the Arab Higher Committee for Standardization under the auspices of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) of the League of Arab States and the accompanying session, which were held in the Saudi capital Riyadh, with a delegation headed by the Director General of the Authority, Eng. Hadid Almas.
The meeting came in conjunction with the 15th meeting of the Arab Strategic Committee for Standardization and Quality 2019-2023.
The meeting came up with a number of decisions and recommendations that would enhance joint Arab action, unify Arab efforts in the field of standardization and develop the infrastructure system for standardization and quality activities in a manner that ensures the facilitation of trade exchange and supports active participation in regional and international standardization.
