Al-Eryani explores UNESCO's assistance to preserve cultural heritage

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani met today with the Regional Director of the UNESCO in Cairo Dr. Abdulaziz al-Mazini.
They discussed aspects of cooperation between Yemen and the UNESCO about the protection of antiquities and preservation of the cultural heritage.
Al-Eryani sought for the UNESCO's contribution to the efforts aiming at preserving the Yemeni artifacts and cultural heritage which have been badly affected by the ongoing armed conflict triggered by Houthi militias.
The UNESCO's official noted that there arrangements to carry out a project aiming to train the Yemeni cadres to preserve the Yemeni artifacts.
He stated that the trainees will be granted a Diploma from the Peace University of the UNCSCO.
