Seventh Woman National Conference kicked-off its sessions in Aden

The Seventh Woman National Conference started its deliberations today in the temporary capital Aden.
The two-day gathering is organized by the Woman National Commission (WNC) funded by the UN- Women Commission.
The Chairwoman of the WNC Dr. Shafiqah Sa'eed in her opening speech described the organizing of 7th Conference of the WNC as a significant event and important progress for the Yemeni woman amid the difficult circumstances the country has been gonging through.
She stated the WNC has managed to regain its role and operation within the state's imitations following it was relocated in the temporary capital Aden.
The Representative of the UN-Women Commission-Director of Iraq and Yemen Dina Zorba hailed the Yemeni woman struggle and active engagement in the country's politics and development drive over recent decades.
She confirmed the UN's support for women and girls in Yemen through the implementation of the agendas of woman, peace and security stipulated by the UNSC's resolution 1325.
