Yemeni-American relations discussed

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak met today with the with the US Acting-Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Kathy Westly.

Yemeni-American bilateral ties and cooperation was key point of the conversation.

The discussions covered the developments in the Yemeni national arena amid Houthi militia's ongoing military escalation.

He blamed the Iranian regime's involvement in the Yemeni conflict for prolonging the war, warning of the dangerous consequences of the militia's increasing attacks on the civil facilities and civilians in Yemen and on the neighboring countries.

The Foreign Minister also cited the economic challenges facing the Yemeni government, highlighting Yemen's need for brothers' and friends' support to bail out the national economy and manage the economic hardships.

The American diplomat expressed her country's support for the efforts have been made by the UN's envoy to reach a political settlement to the conflict in Yemen.

She also reiterated her country's support for the legitimate Yemeni government, Yemen's unity, security and stability.
