PM issues decision forming committee to prepare state's general budget

Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik issued a decision today to form the Supreme Committee for State Public Budgets for the fiscal year 2022 AD.

Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1 of 2022 stipulated the formation of a higher committee for public budgets (the Macroeconomic Committee) for the fiscal year 2022, in order to prepare the state’s general budget and its indicative caps at the central and local levels, independent and attached units and special funds, in light of the state’s economic, financial and monetary policies.

The decision specified the names of the chairman and members of the committee, its tasks, competencies and powers, and the basic determinants that must be taken into account in preparing public budgets for the fiscal year 2022.
