The Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Baseheib met in the temporary capital Aden, today, with the Advisor to the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Abdel Nasser Awal, and discussed with him a number of issues related to strengthening aspects of cooperation and joint coordination between the two sides.
The meeting stressed the importance of coordinating with the concerned government agencies regarding the implementation of humanitarian and development interventions in the various Yemeni regions and governorates to alleviate people's suffering as a result of the war in the country, and the need to ensure that the official procedures be followed in accordance with the legal regulations in force.
On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Planning discussed with the UNICEF representative the procedures for the structure and tasks of the household survey in the various governorates, which will be implemented by the organization in cooperation and coordination with the Central Bureau of Statistics, under the supervision of the Ministry of Planning.
