Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik highly praised the significant support of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for Yemen and the Yemeni peoples throughout different stages and various circumstances, deeply appreciating its active contribution to the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's efforts to counter Houthi militia's coup and restore the legitimate authority in Yemen.
He voiced his comments as he attended the Republic of Yemen's National Day ceremony held today here at the venue of Dubai Expo 2020.
He delivered a speech in which he congratulated the leadership of the UAE on the impressive and effective arrangement for the global event Dubai Expo 2020, describing it as a significant credit for Arab peoples in the region.
The Prime Minister celebrated the historic and robust Yemeni-Emirati relationship, highlighted the supportive stances of the UAE leadership in support of the Yemeni peoples in different spheres.
He said " We're gathering here to celebrate the National Day of Yemen in Dubai Expo, we do deeply appreciate your sharing in this ceremony, singling out the first day of the new year to be A National Day of Yemen, it is very symbolic, as the Yemenis along with brothers and friends have great hope that the new year will herald peace and stability in Yemen, resuming development and construction drive".
For his part, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Khalifa Shahin expressed his pleasures to participate in the Republic of Yemen National Day ceremony in Dubai Expo 2020.
He noted that the UAE's relations with Yemen deeply rooted, further enhanced in the `1970s by the late leader of the UAE Shiekh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan who helped rebuilding Marib Dam.
The delegation accompanying the Prime Minister attended the function of celebrating the Republic of Yemen National Day at Dubai Expo 2020.
The delegation included ministers of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'd Badhib, Agriculture and Fishery Salim Assocatri, Oil and Minerals Abdussalam Ba-Abood, Industry and Trade Mohammed al-Ashwal, Public Health and Population Qasem Bahebeh and Education Tareq al-Akbari.
