Tehran's smuggling of weapons to Houthis is blatant defiance to int'l will
[23/12/2021 11:34]
Aden - Saba
Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani said, "The US Navy's announcement of the seizure of a new Iranian weapons shipment on board a ship in the Arabian Sea, which was on its way to the terrorist Houthi militia, represents a clear Iranian challenge to the will of the international community."

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Muammar al-Eryani considered that the Iranian regime's continued smuggling of weapons to the Houthi militia is an extension of its continuous aggression against Yemen since the start of the September 2014 coup, and it has continued to implement its destructive agenda and its expansionist project in the region.

Al-Eryani indicated that the Iranian regime played a major role in undermining efforts to calm and bring peace in Yemen, and pushed its Houthi tools to escalate the pace of war on the Marib fronts, and the continued bloodshed and human suffering of Yemenis, as part of its policies to spread chaos and terrorism, destabilize security and stability in the region and threaten international interests. .

Al-Eryani called on the international community and the permanent members of the Security Council to carry out their responsibilities and pressure the Tehran regime to stop the smuggling of weapons to the Houthis, which constitutes a violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and international resolutions related to the Yemeni crisis, especially Resolution 2216, and to put Houthis on the terrorist groups list.
