Establishing local councils fund project discussed in Aden

Deputy Minister of Local Administration for financial resources sector Awadh Mashbah discussed Thursday with General Director of UN Organizations Department at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Ahmad al-Jawi the project of establishing a fund for local councils' development in cooperation with United Nations Capital Development Fund.

Mashbah confirmed significance of the project, which will meet needs of investment projects and programs of local authorities and administrative units to limit poverty and support economic development and developing local resources in accordance with available resources.

The meeting touched upon a number of recommendations and suggested steps to commence executive steps and working on establishing the project, as well as significance of cooperation between the ministries of local administration and planning.
