Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Baghdad al-Khadher Marmash met today with the Head of Consulate Directorate at Iraqi Foreign Ministry Mokhles Rajab.
Yemeni-Iraqi bilateral cooperation and relations was key point of the conversations.
The situations of the Yemeni nationals and difficulties they are facing were deliberately discussed.
Marmash sought for further cooperation by the Iraqi side about the residence permissions for the Yemenis living in Iraq.
The Ambassador also asked to visit the Yemeni detainees in the Iraqi detention centers to inspect their situations in order to report to their families about them.
The Iraqi official demonstrated the Ministry's willingness to collaborate about easing residence permission procedures, promising to arrange for the Yemeni Consul visit to the detainees.
