The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, said that the Iranian-backed Houthi militia is exerting pressure and attempts to blackmail the tribal sheikhs in the areas under its control to force them to mobilize fighters in its ranks.
Eryani said in a statement to Saba that the Houthi militia forces tribal sheikhs to mobilize fighters, including children, with the aim of compensating for their unprecedented losses, and pushing new waves of people to zones of death within the continuous escalation on the fighting fronts in Marib Governorate.
Al-Eryani indicated that the information received from the Houthi militia-controlled areas confirms that the militia during the past days has eliminated a number of sheikhs, and kidnapped others in the governorates of (Amran, Hajjah, Sanaa, Taiz, and Ibb) over declining to engaging in the militia's absurd battles.
