The Ambassador of Yemen to Austria, Shujaa al-Din discussed, via video communication, with the head of the Middle East and Near East Department at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs the latest developments in Yemen, the continuation of the Houthi escalation in Marib Governorate, and the Houthi militia's targeting of civilians and displaced persons with ballistic missiles and drones .
Ambassador Shujaa al-Din reviewed the Iranian interference in Yemen and the sabotage role in fueling the war in Yemen, which contributed to prolonging the war and impeding peace efforts, by providing the militia with ballistic missiles and drones referring to the paragraphs contained in the report of the Security Council Panel of Experts on Yemen that documented Iran's support for the Houthis.
He affirmed the Yemeni government's keenness on peace and ending the suffering of the Yemeni people. He reiterated his call to Austria and the international community to exert maximum pressure on the Houthi militia over the Safer tanker to prevent an environmental disaster.
