Parliament's Delegation, headed by Deputy Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Shaddadi, participated Friday in activities of the General Assembly's 143 Round of International Parliamentary Union is being held here.
The round discusses in the period 26-30 of this November roles must be played by national, regional parliaments and the IPU for promoting the international law to overcome challenges facing democracy and priorities require taking swift international parliamentary measures and raising awareness among MPs.
The round also discusses fighting terrorism and extremism, eradicating hatred address, parliamentary active strategies and the role of parliaments for banning all forms of violence and terrorism.
