President al-Alimi: Houthi Militias-Controlled Regions Turned into Worst Place to Live on Earth

MASAM' confirms demining over 289 thousand Houthi-laid landmines

Saudi-Funded Demining Project in Yemen "MASAM" declared that it has managed to extract and destroy more than 289 thousand landmines from July 2018 to November 19,2021.

This large amount of landmines planted by Iran-allied Houthi militiamen in different Yemeni governorates.

Director of MASAM Osama al-Qosaibi confirmed at press conference held today in the temporary capital Aden that during the time from amid July 2021 until 19 of this month MASAM has managed to demine and destroy 97 thousand and 187 anti-vehicles landmines, 4 thousand and 183 anti-personnel landmines, 181 thousand and 562 unexploded ordnances and 6 thousand and 114 explosive devices.

Al-Qosaibi noted that MASAM has been working in coordination and partnership with the Yemeni National Program for Demining.

Up to date MASAM has carried out 120 landmines destruction operations, according al-Qosaibi.
