The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Water Minister contributes to discussions about UNAF

Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfeq Asharjabi participated today in the first ministerial session about the assistance provided by the United Nations Adaption Fund (UNAF) to help developing countries to build resilience and adapt to climate changes.
The deliberations held on the sideline of the (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland.
Asharjabi cited the obstacles which did not help Yemen to get direct finance to support fragile sectors and upgrade them to cope with climate change.
He also underlined Yemen's need for necessary technical support to develop the National Action Program for Adaption (NAPA).
