The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Yemen's Ambassador to Paris discusses with French FM official latest developments

Yemen's Ambassador to Paris Riyadh Yaseen discussed Wednesday with Director of Middle East Management at French Foreign Ministry Ann Gigian a number of issues of common concerned, latest developments in Yemen and efforts to realize peace in the country.

Th meeting touched upon Houthi militia's continuous escalation on Marib after besieging al-Abdia District and committing war crimes against its civilians, shelling public and private establishments by ballistic rockets.

The meeting also tackled current situation of Safir Oil Tanker, which is used by Houthi militia as a file for political pressure to threat Yemen and the region, calling upon France and the international community to exert pressure on Houthi militia to find quick solution to this crisis.

He confirmed that the internationally recognized government exerts all possible efforts to realize security and peace in Yemen in cooperation with the UN envoy to Yemen.
