The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak stated that Houthi militia's ongoing military operations on Marib, its grave violations and atrocities against the population of al-Abidia District are seriously threatening the peace process future.

As he met today with the French Ambassador to Yemen Jean-Marie SAFA, he highlighted the need for supporting the Yemeni government to manage the challenges, mainly the economic hardships and handling national currency value depreciation.

The conversations also touched upon Safer Oil Tanker problem.

The French Ambassador confirmed his country's support for Yemen's unity, security and stability, as well as for the UN-led peace efforts.
