Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb discussed Tuesday with the Executive Director of World Bank Mirza Hassan boosting coordination between Yemen and the World Bank for following up implementation of current and forthcoming projects in economic and development fields.
In the meeting, which was held through videoconferencing on Tuesday, reopening the WB's office in Aden and resumption of the organization's missions were also discussed.
Batheeb provided details on political and economic situations in Yemen and the government's vision of projects of priority to be intervened in the 20th package of International Development Foundation for supporting forthcoming interventions in economic and productive sectors.
He pointed out to African Refugees Crisis, which poses huge burden on Yemen's weak resources as Yemen is the second greatest country in the world receiving African refugees and urged the WB to include Yemen and other impacted countries, which receive refugees, in refugees department of International Development Foundation to benefit from its support.
