Al-Amrani discusses with Jordanian officials dangers of Safir Tanker's leaking

Yemen's Ambassador to Jordan Ali al-Amrani discusses Wednesday with Director of Arab Department and Director of Protocols at Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hazem al-Khateeb and Mohammad al-Zayati latest developments in Yemen.

The two parties discussed Safir Oil Tanker's issues and the dangers of possible leaking from the tanker into the Red Sea, which will affect countries overlooking the sea as the leaking will hinder the international maritime navigation.

He confirmed significance of coordinating efforts of the countries overlooking the Red Sea and put different types of pressure on Houthi militia to allow to the UN technical team to examine the tanker and do necessary maintenance works.

He pointed out that the government of Yemen has agreed on Security Council's suggestions to direct the price of oil in the tanker for government employees as salaries.
