Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakani held session today here in Vienna with the Speaker of Austrian Parliament Wolfgang Sobotka.

Aspects of bilateral ties between the two countries and the developments about the UN-led peace efforts were elaborately discussed.

Al-Barakani provided Sobotka with an informative presentation about the situations in Yemen amid the hardships the Yemeni peoples have been experiencing due to Houthi militia's coup, sectarian attitudes and intransigence .

He held the insurgent group accountable for blocking peace efforts, rejecting all proposals to stop war and sit-down to negotiate political settlement.
