Yemen's Parliament Speaker Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani will be participating in the Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament and the First Global Parliamentary Summit on Combating Terrorism, held in the Austrian capital, Vienna.
The conference will be organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Austrian Parliament in cooperation with the United Nations from 7 to 8 September with the participation of parliament speakers from all over the world.
It aims to strengthen the parliamentary dimension of global governance, and to stand and focus on the priorities that require urgent international parliamentary action,
These include counter-terrorism, the global response and recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, the climate emergency, combating misinformation, and youth participation in political life.
