The Yemeni Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation highlighted the urgency for launching a comprehensive program for reconstructing Yemen, realizing economic recovery and restoring development with regional and international partners' support including the Islamic Bank.
Speaking at the 46th session of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Bank held in the Republic of Uzbekistan from 1-4 September, Under-Secretary of the Ministry Dr. Mohammed al-Hawiri cited Yemen's huge economic, development and social loses as a result of the ongoing war.
He stated that Yemen has suffered great deal of economic and social loses and damages, national economy has been seriously damaged and development drive has almost come to standstill due to the war, the nation's loses exceed $ 100 billion.
