Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakani expressed appreciation and gratitude for the American administration's supportive stances in support of Yemen, its security, stability, legitimate leadership and underway efforts to make peace.
As he met today with the US Acting-Ambassador to Yemen Kathy Westly he also deeply appreciated the US humanitarian aids to allay the Yemeni peoples' suffering amid the current hardships.
The latest developments in Yemen including the ongoing efforts to establish peace were elaborately discussed during the session.
Al-Barakani reiterated the government's support for the permanent and comprehensive peace that is based on the three well-known reference and can eliminate the coup and reinstate the official authority.
He said" We're ready to make peace meanwhile Houthi militia until the moment has deliberately continued to undermine peace efforts and proposals, they have continued to fight and smuggle weapons, these are discouraging signs do not show they are willing to come to peace".
The Speaker of the Parliament touched upon the ongoing arrangements to resume the Parliament's sessions to play its role in supporting the legitimate government in the battle against Houthi militia's coup and taking the necessary measures to manage the economic and humanitarian challenges .
The US diplomat affirmed her country's support for the legitimate Yemeni government, security, stability and territorial integrity of the republic of Yemen. She also reiterated the US administration keenness to support the UN-led peace efforts to make durable peace in Yemen.
