Minister of Finance, Governor of the Central Bank Discuss Comprehensive Reform Implementation with Arab Monetary Fund

Minister of Finance Marwan Faraj Bin Ghanem and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed al-Maabqi discussed Thursday with Dr. Fahad Al-Turki, Director General and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund implementation of the comprehensive reform program in the economic, financial and monetary sectors.

Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani has said Mahra Province is considered " our pride as it has sought to protect the state's institutions and is an example of peaceful co-existence for it includes people from all Yemen's provinces."

"The visit's aim is to inspect people's conditions and their needs," said al-Barakani in a press statement to Saba upon arriving Mahra on Saturday, expressing happiness for visiting the province.

He praised political courage of Governor of Mahra Mohammad Ali Yasser.

On the other hand, Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani along with Governor of Hadhramout General Faraj al-Bahsani inspected Saturday al-Socotri Power Plant Project in Mukalla.

With output of 40 MW, the plant project is financed by Hadhramout's local authority.

Al-Barakani and al-Bahsani inspected the final works for equipping and operating National Factory for Canning Fish at al-Shihr City. The factory is one of the biggest projects in field of fisheries in Yemen.
