Presidential Decisions Bring Historic Gains for Yemeni Women

The recent republican decisions issued yesterday, Thursday, marked a new turning point in promoting the participation of Yemeni women in decision-making positions. The decisions included the appointment of Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, making her the first woman in the country's history to hold this sovereign portfolio. Al-Sa'adi discusses with UN official coordination for helping displaced people

The Head of Executive Unit of Managing Displaced People Camps Najeeb al-Sa'adi discussed Thursday with Deputy Coordinator of Human Affairs of the UN in Yemen Diego Zuwella coordination and joint work between the unit and the human work team.

The meeting confirmed including government bodies in planning process and defining priorities and work for ensuring continuity of the services and improving services to the displaced people.

Al-Sa'adi stressed importance of providing inclusive system for following up assistances in humanitarian field and coordination for implementing a strategy, which will work on continuation of services to displaced people.

Meanwhile, the UN official provided a detailed review on boosting existence of the UN in Aden for helping the government to perform its duties on providing services.
