Transport Minister Abdulsalam Humaid discussed Wednesday with Director of Makha Port Abdulmalik al-Shara'bi the technical and financial report regarding rehabilitating and operating the port and the accomplished work.
Humaid confirmed speeding up finalizing the rest works for operating the port for its significance of providing services to several liberated provinces led by Taiz, noting that the ministry will provide all facilitations for managing the port and boosting capabilities of the cadre and meeting their legal demands.
He pointed out to keenness of the ministry leadership and Taiz local authority on coordination between them for ensuring reactivating marine transportation, combating corruption and limiting smuggling for providing income to the state's treasury.
For his part, the director of the port reviewed current situation of the port and exerted efforts for improving its services and activating its leading role and contribution on moving national economy's wheel.
