Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi launched Wednesday projects of cleaning water resources and controlling drinking water's quality and combating severe malnutrition financed by King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Activities Center in cooperation with UNICEF and WHO.
During launching ceremony, Minister al-Sharjabi made it clear that these projects aim at protecting population against pandemics associated with water in province of Aden, Lahj, Taiz, Dhale'a, Abyan and Hadhramout as people in these provinces suffer from cholera, malaria, diphtheria and malnutrition over Houthi militia's triggered war.
He confirmed that the ministry deployed 300 water specialists through water and sanitation emergency unit and the General Authority of Water Resources for improving water quality and basic sanitation services.
