Enquiry Commission visits central prison in Sayoon

Members of the National Enquiry Commission met today in Sayoon with the Deputy Director of the Security Department in the Valley and Desert of Hadhramout, Colonel Ali Al-Sina’i and the Director of the Central Prison Abdo Al-Marri, to discuss the conditions of prisoners and the extent to which they obtain their rights in accordance with laws and regulations.

The Commission members Hussein al-Mashdali, Nasser al-Awdhali, Ishraq al-Maqtari and Muhammad Talian visited prison departments and listened to a number of prisoners and detainees to learn about their legal demands.

In the same context, the Commission held an extensive consultative meeting with the CSOs working in the field of human rights promotion and in monitoring and protecting the rights of children, women and the IDPs.
