Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakani said the plight Yemen has been struggling with is multifaceted and the Yemeni peoples have been enduring extremely harsh circumstances and their future is very gloomy because the Houthi militias have continued to refuse every call and proposal for peace.
He voiced his remarks as he contributed today to the discussions of the 142 session of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) which are being held via video conference.
He stated that Yemen has been plagued by coronavirus amid very difficult , lacking health care services, medicines, vaccines and quarantine centers.
" Houthi militias have engulfed Yemen in devastating wars resulted in killing hundreds of the people, besides the ones who died by the coronavirus and other pandemics, the worst is that the militia has continued to refuse to come to peace", said al-Barakani.
