Yemen, UN sign MoU in field of combating drugs

Vienna witnessed Wednesday a protocol of signing Memo of Understanding between Yemen and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime on monitoring containers program.

Yemen's Ambassador, the Permanent Representative to the office Haitham Shuga'ddin and Executive Director of UN Office on Drugs and Crime John Brandlino signed the memo.

The two parties discussed possible cooperation domains between Yemen and the office in field of combating organized crime, especially in field of monitoring container program.

For his part, the UN official expressed thanks to Yemen for commitment on fighting the organized crime, confirming keenness of the UN's office on working with Yemen in monitoring containers and boosting cooperation.
