MARIB - SABA
Top military and security officials convened a meeting in Yemen’s eastern Marib Province on Saturday days to discuss tightening security after a sabotage attack by gunmen on propane gas transport trailers in the provincial capital’s outskirts last week.
The country’s Defense Minister, chief of staff, Deputy Interior Minister, and the director of the provincial Police Department among others discussed reinvigorating the joint operations to clamp down on terror attacks and crack down on the perpetrators of last week’s arson that destroyed several tanks.
The Houthi militia have been waging a years long war on the government-held province using massive ground warfare, ballistic missile attacks into the city, IEDs planting and bombing, and other forms of sabotage attacks by sleeping cells.
