The Ministry of Public Health and Population said that the total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the liberated areas amounted to 4,135 cases since the beginning of January 2021, while the number of deaths reached 567 cases.
Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Ali Al-Walidi, said in a press conference held last evening in Aden that 10,482 people received the first dose of the vaccine since the beginning of the vaccination campaign until today in 45 districts, including 1871 people with chronic diseases, 3576 elderly people and 5037 health workers.
He stressed that the vaccine recipients did not show any side effects, and that the campaign will continue until May 5 and will resume after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
