Houthi militants stormed a village in central Yemen's Dhamar province on Wednesday evening and kidnapped three villagers on the suspicion that they were mourning a relative who had been killed while fighting in the ranks of the government forces in Marib.
A source in Beit Aljabr village said the militants "kidnapped Ahmed Ali Aljabr, Mohammed Aljabr and Saddam Aljabr and threw them in the jail of Jabal Alsharq" under the control of the militants.
The source, on the condition of anonymity, denied that "any mourning event was held" categorizing the arrests "as part of the systematic persecution and crackdown that the Houthi militia treat the people under its reign with, in order to intimidate them into submission."
