A tripartite agreement was signed Wednesday between the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, the Yemeni Oil Company (PetroMasila), and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen to finance petroleum derivatives and supply more than 70 power generation stations across various governorates.

Bin Mubarak discusses with Swedish envoy latest developments in Yemen

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ahmad Bin Mubarak discussed Wednesday with Swedish Special Envoy to Yemen Peter Semneby situation developments in Yemen and local and international positions towards Saudi initiative to end war in Yemen.

Bin Mubarak pointed out to international and regional welcome to Saudi initiative, which was also received by great welcome from the government of Yemen for ending the conflict peacefully and realizing national reconciliation.

He expressed hope that Houthi militia will take the real decision and return to the right path, stop its aggression against Yemeni people and go to negotiations of the inclusive solution in accordance with the three agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution 2216.

He touched upon significance of implementing Riyadh Agreement, especially the military and security section to tighten security and stability in Aden and liberated areas.

Foreign Minister talked also about Houthi militia's continuous escalation in Marib, where it shells civilians and displaced people with ballistic rockets, pointing out to importance of exerting pressure on Houthi militia to stop its aggression on Yemeni people and to end the war.

For his part, the Swedish envoy expressed his country's welcome to Saudi initiative and its support to efforts of realizing peace and support to Yemen's unity and sovereignty.
