Distribution of 1811 food parcels to displaced people in Marib launched

Deputy Governor of MARIB Abd-Rabbu Miftah launched Tuesday the two projects of distributing 1811 food parcels and shelter materials to displaced people in Marib provided by Kuwait within the campaign of Kwait by Your Side.

The first project, which is carried out by Basamat for Development Foundation with financing from International Islamic Charitable Agency, includes distribution of 1261 food parcels to most affected displace families in a number of camps in Marib.

The second project, which is carried out by Yemeni Wisdom Charity with financing from Reviving Islamic Heritage Charity – Arab World Committee, includes distribution of 200 food parcels and 350 shelter material parcels to recent displaced families at al-Zour Camp in Sirwah District and to a number of displaced people at al-Fidhi Camp at al-Wadi District.

Miftah praised the humanitarian role of the State of Kuwait in Marib and continuous support of relief and shelter assistances to thousands of displaced people in a number of camps in the province.

He called upon all local and international organizations to double their efforts and their humanitarian interventions in the province.
