Water minister discusses with FAO its projects in Yemen

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Monday with Director of Food and Agriculture Organization's Office in Aden Walid Saleh the organization's projects in the forthcoming days.

Al-Sharjabi pointed out to difficult situations, especially in food and medication and services of water and energy, noting that the government is facing huge burdens and needs help to provide services to citizens to cope with deteriorated conditions over Houthi militia's triggered war.

For his part, Saleh pointed out that German Bank of Construction and Development provided USD 22 million to the organization to support complete management projects in fields of water and agriculture.

He pointed out to holding a workshop next week to define priorities in water and agriculture fields in provinces affected by floods.
