The Vice President of the Republic (Lt Gen) Ali Mohsen Saleh met today with Ambassador of the Netherlands to Yemen Peter Hof.
Mohsen welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of the Royal Netherlands Kingdom wishing him all the best in his mission to further boost cooperation between the two countries to serve the mutual interests of the Yemeni and Dutch friendly peoples.
The Vice President highly praised the Netherlands' supportive stance in support of Yemen's legitimate leadership, security, stability and unity.
He detailed the Dutch diplomat on the latest developments in Yemen, mainly the terrorist Houthi militia military escalations and attacks on the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the IDP camps and civilians in Marib and Aljawf governorates.
The Vice President stated that the legitimate leadership headed by President Hadi is committed to peace option that is based on the three terms of reference. He reinstated that the government is very keen to deal constructively with the international and UN-led efforts aiming to end the war triggered by Houthis with Iran's support.
For his part the Dutch Ambassador affirmed his country's support for the UN-led efforts to achieve a comprehensive and permanent peace in Yemen.
