Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Afrah al-Zouba held discussions today, Sunday, in the temporary capital Aden, with Vice President of the World Bank (WB) for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Osman Dione over joint efforts to expand development support for Yemen.

Ambassador of Republic of Yemen to Moscow Dr. Ahmed al-Woheishi met today with Deputy Speaker of Russian Federal Council, Chair of the Russian Committee for Solidarity and Cooperation with Asian and African countries Elias Omkhanov.

Yemeni-Russian parliamentarian cooperation was key focus of the conversations.

The latest developments in Yemen including Houthi militia's military attacks on Marib governorate were also touched upon.

Al-Woheishi handed over Elias the statement of the Yemeni parliament about Houthi rebels' military escalation on Marib.

The Russian official stated that Russian Federation is supporting the UN-led peace efforts to re-establish peace, security and stability in Yemen.
