Japan offers $4mln to help Yemeni children get education

The Japanese Government donated $4 million more to support a project aims to help the Yemeni children access good education. The project is to be carried out by the UNICEF within a period of three years.
The Japanese embassy in Yemen said in a press release learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) "This contribution is an additional grant to a package of humanitarian aids totaling 44.7 million USD the Japanese government pledged to offer Yemen this year, this brings total amount of Japanese assistance up to $48.7 million in 2021".
The Japan-funded project aims to increase Yemeni children's chances through raising-awareness campaign about the importance of education, provide 135 thousand schoolboys with school bags and support capacity-building of 3000 teachers through training.
