CAIRO - SABA
The Arab Parliament has condemned the continuous abuse of members of the Yemeni parliament by the Iran backed Houthi militia in Sana’a.
In a statement, the Arab Parlimanet’s speaker Adel Al-Asoomi said the Houthi militia’s “issuance of death sentences against 11 legitimate members of the parliament is a meaningless” given that the militia’s self-styled courts and trials “have no legal basis.”
The militia’s “death sentences” follow similar sentences against 35 MPs whom the militia confiscated their properties and stormed their houses and intimidated their families.
