Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed Ghaleb has said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) statement on the conclusion of Article IV consultations with the Republic of Yemen reflects an important return to institutional engagement with the international community after a long period of interruption, welcoming the content of the statement.

Ambassador of Republic of Yemen to Federal Republic of Austria Haitham Shuja'addin met on Thursday with Chair of the Committee on European Affairs, Deputy Chair of the Committee on Foreign Relation in the Austrian Parliament Reinhold Lupatcka .

Yemeni-Austrian bilateral ties was key focus of the conversation.

Shuja'addin briefed Reinhold on the latest developments in Yemen including the visit of the Head of the EU mission to Yemen along with a number of the European ambassadors to the interim capital Ade, the ongoing military operations and ballistic missiles attacks by Houthi militia on Marib governorate.

The Austrian official affirmed his country's keenness to establish peace in Yemen through UN-led peace efforts.
