Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al Sharjabi, held a discussion with the Resident Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Yemen (FAO) Dr. Hussein Jadin, and his assistant for programs affairs, Dr. Muhammad Salam, on updating cooperation plans in the fields of water and the environment.
They discussed a number of projects in light of the expansion of urban areas, especially the temporary capital Aden which is accmodoating increasing number of people from across the country.
They also discussed the great importance of preparing surveys related to water basins in a number of governorates, especially those that major cities depend on for water supplies, such as the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan and other densely populated cities.
