Experts in the eastern province of Shabwa dismantled 2872 left by the Houthi militants during the past years.
The Director of the National Mine Action Program Ameen Al-Aqeeli told Saba that the program's experts "dismantled in two stages 2872 landmines, anti-personnel and anti-vehicle, in addition to missiles and UXOs."
He said that "vast swaths of land have been purged from the mine contamination" but "the work is ongoing" to clear even more territories.
