Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Wa'id Badheib, met today, via video call the Regional Director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti at the the World Bank Group, the Marina Weiss, and the World Bank Country Manager for Yemen Tania Meyer. Minister Badeeb expressed his aspiration to work with them to facilitate their work and reopen the WB's office in the temporary capital Aden.
He stressed the importance of the World Bank's focus, through its new portfolio, on development priorities that will provide services for all Yemenis, maintain the national institutions, create job opportunities, stabilize the economy, and supports infrastructure projects.
