Yemen's Ambassador, French MPs discuss political support
[20/01/2021 05:41]

PARIS - SABA
Yemen's Ambassador to France Riyadh Yaseen discussed Wednesday with the Head of French-Yemeni Friendship Association in French Parliament Fabian Gute Faghd, his Aid Caroline Catino and French MP Laila Arslan relations between the two countries, especially French political support to Yemen after latest developments.

The meeting touched upon the terrorist attack against Aden Airport targeting the government while arriving from Riyadh and the US recent decision of designating Houthi militia as terrorist group.

Yaseen reviewed foundations of this decision, which came as a result of Houthi militia's terrorist crimes against Yemeni people, targeting regional and international security and breaching its commitments to international resolutions and agreements for finding inclusive peace in Yemen.

He called upon French government and parliament to support this decision, confirming that the government will take all necessary measures for facilitating activities of humanitarian organizations to provide their relief aid to all Yemeni areas.

He added that this decision targets only Houthi militia not the civilians living in their held areas and the government will work on easing provision of the aid to the needy people.

For his part, the French parliamentarian expressed his understanding to the position of the government of Yemen, pointing out to taking imminent measures to protect activities of the humanitarian organizations in Yemen after the US decision.
