Al-Iryani condemns Houthi militia for demolishing Assokhna historical palace in Hodeidah

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamer al-Iryani condemned with the most powerful words Iran-backed Houthi theocratic militia for destroying the historical palace of Assokhna in Hodeidah governorate.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) he said" Houthi militia demolished Assokhna palace , one of the most important historical landmarks in Hodeidah governorate, flattened the building as the ISIS did in Syria" .

The Minister added that the militiamen earlier demolished Mede's historical castle and several historical sites in Zabid, Bagel, Azydia and Azohrah of Hodeidah governorate".

He launched appeal for the interested international organization above all the UNISCOW to condemn this systematical destruction of the Yemeni cultural heritage and act to protect it.
