Minister of Oil and Minerals Abdusalam Ba-Abood stated that increasing oil production is a top priority the Ministry is going to work on in the coming period.
His remark came during a virtual discussions he conducted on Thursday with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Michael Aron.
The conversation dealt with the Yemeni-British relations and the developments in Yemen.
Ba-Abood voiced appreciation for the UK's support for Yemen and the legitimate Yemeni government's efforts to restore the state. He cited the Ministry's priorities in the upcoming period, citing increasing oil production and exploration as the most important urgency.
The British Ambassador renewed his condemnation of Aden airport terrorist operation. He also pointed out to the ongoing discussions about Safer oil tanker and the UN-led efforts in this regard.
