Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin Mubark held virtual conversations on Tuesday with the Ambassadors of the EU countries to the Republic of Yemen.
The latest developments in the Yemeni national scene, government's efforts to achieve peace and the designation of Houthi militia a terrorist organization by the US Department of State were key focus of the discussions.
Bin Mubark cited the significant concessions the government has offered within its attempts to make peace, re-establish security and stability. He stated that the government will continue to deal constructively with the efforts aiming to make peace.
He stressed that the designation of Houthi militia as a terrorist organization is very important to mount pressure upon Houthi militia to change its criminal behavior and come to peace.
The Minister made it clear that the government will take necessary measures to ensure that humanitarian action in the militia-controlled never be affected as a result of this designation, the government will coordinate with the American side and give necessary exemptions for the organizations operate in humanitarian actions.
He touched upon the ongoing investigations into Aden airport terrorist operation. He confirmed that all evidences indicate that Houthi militia is behind the attack.
The EU ambassadors voiced their strong condemnation of the attack on Aden airport attack, affirming their support for the government to carry out its missions, reiterating their support for Yemen's security, stability and unity.
