Houthi landmine kills civilian, injures a child in Aljawf

A man by the name Ayedh Ali al-Saydi was killed and a child, Fayz Ali Shamaan, was injured in the explosion of a Houthi-laid landmine in Aljawf province on Monday, the local authorities said.
The Committee of Rights and Freedoms, an affiliate to the provincial government, said ina statement the pair stepped on the landmine "in Harrab valley in the province" before it exploded.
The Houthi militia have planted more than a million landmines in Yemen over the past six years, which have so far caused hundreds of civilian casualties and many landmines still pose a threat to the future generations.
